Job description

Responsibilities, requirements, and role expectations.

  • Counsel students and parents regarding available courses, programs, eligibility, career opportunities, fees, scholarships, and admission procedures.

  • Understand students' academic backgrounds, interests, career goals, and preferences to recommend suitable courses and programs.

  • Handle enquiries received through phone calls, walk-ins, email, social media, websites, and other lead-generation channels.

  • Explain course curriculum, duration, eligibility criteria, fee structure, campus facilities, placement opportunities, and other relevant information.

  • Follow up regularly with prospective students and parents to support them throughout the decision-making and admission process.

  • Maintain accurate records of enquiries, follow-ups, applications, and admission status in CRM/Excel or other designated systems.

  • Assist students in completing application forms and submitting the required documents.

  • Coordinate with colleges, universities, academic departments, and internal teams to ensure smooth processing of applications.

  • Conduct or participate in student counselling sessions, admission drives, education fairs, school/college visits, seminars, and promotional events.

  • Generate prospective student leads through referrals, institutional outreach, tele-calling, digital platforms, and other channels.

  • Maintain strong relationships with students, parents, educational institutions, and other stakeholders.

  • Meet assigned admission and conversion targets within the specified timelines.

  • Provide regular reports on enquiries, follow-ups, applications, conversions, and pending admissions to the reporting manager.

  • Ensure that all information provided to students and parents is accurate, transparent, and in accordance with institutional policies.

  • Stay updated on new courses, admission requirements, fee structures, scholarships, and changes in academic policies.

  • Support students even after admission by coordinating with the relevant departments whenever required.
