Job Title: Conventional VTL Operator

Location: Coimbatore

Experience: Minimum 5 Years

CTC: Up to 3 LPA

Job Summary:

We are seeking a Conventional VTL Operator with experience in machining precision components using Vertical Turning Lathe manual machines. The ideal candidate should be proficient in reading technical drawings and operating conventional VTL machines for heavy and medium-sized components.

Key Responsibilities:

* Operate manual VTL machines for turning, facing, boring, grooving, and threading operations.

* Read and interpret engineering drawings and machining instructions.

* Select and set appropriate tools, speeds, and feeds for different material grades.

* Carry out in-process inspection using measuring instruments such as Vernier, micrometres, height gauges, and bore dial gauges.

* Ensure parts are machined to required tolerances and surface finishes.

* Perform routine maintenance and maintain machine cleanliness.

* Adhere to workplace safety standards and production schedules.

Candidate Requirements:

* ITI or Diploma in Mechanical or Machinist Trade.

* Minimum 5 years’ experience in operating conventional VTL machines.

* Good knowledge of machining symbols, tolerances, and tool selection.

* Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

* Experience in handling large or heavy components is preferred.
